Seven years ago, the founding partners at Scott, Vicknair, Hair & Checki, LLC set out to create a law firm that would provide socioeconomically diverse clients with all of the resources and advantages of a large firm, while maintaining the high-degree of personal attention typically only found in boutique firms. Started in a one-room office with only $14,000 in the bank, Lauren Checki and Galen Hair quickly established a reputation for offering forward-thinking and unique solutions to legal problems while maintaining superior customer service for clients from all walks of life. The path to that place was a bit indirect. Lauren and Galen eventually identified David Vicknair, a young, aggressive attorney with experience in class action work for underserved communities and Brad Scott, a veteran trial attorney and added them to the management team of SVHC. Today, SVHC Law has matured into a mid-size law firm, headquartered in New Orleans, serving clients throughout the State of Louisiana and across the country. As its growth continues, Lauren, Galen, David and Brad collectively remain committed to putting clients first, as well as volunteerism and pro bono work within the New Orleans community.
